It wouldn’t be Granite City Comic Con without our traditional after party, and this year we have three cracking acts making their GCCC debut - Level-Up Leroy, Gypsy Roots, and Run To Vega.
Level Up Leroy has played his unique blend of nerd video remixes and tracks at cons and after parties across the UK and internationally where he recently blew American audiences away at the New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration. Leroy’s sets are the epitome of what being a DJ is about - abundant passion, amazing tunes, nimble mixing with light sprinkling of Nerdy Geekyness to really get the crowds going!
Gypsy Roots are a funk-dub-reggae-punk party machine! Six-piece Aberdeen punk-rock-reggae outfit have just released their debut single ‘Everyday’ on local label Fat Hippy Records, and an album, ‘Chanting Down The Babylon’. They also won Krakatoa’s Eruption Battle of the Bands 2017⁄18 competition, as well as scooping up Best Live Act & Best Alternative Act at the recent Fudge Music Awards.
Run To Vega is a rock band from Aberdeen, the band has a lot of influence from a wide variety of styles and genres which makes for a versatile and energetic sound. As such, Run to Vega are known for their varied musical pallet. They were finalists in the 2018-2019 Eruption – Battle of the Bands. They were also nominated in the Fudge Awards for Best ‘Alternative’ Act.
This year GCCC are taking over Unit 51, Carnegies Brae, from 8pm to late!
Tickets will also be available on the door for £10.00
